GRE

Graduate Record Examinations

If you’re planning on going to graduate school, you’ll probably need to take the GRE test (or the “Graduate Record Exam”). It’s the most commonly required admission test for graduate school. The GRE test is divided into three main sections. The Analytical Writing section is always presented first. The other two sections are the Verbal and Quantitative sections and they may appear in any order and may include unscored and research sections with questions that are being considered for use in future tests. (Your answers on these won’t count towards your score, but since you won’t know which questions are legitimate and which aren’t, you should treat every portion of the test as if it counts). You can take the GRE exam on paper or on a computer. GRE testing time will vary depending on which version of the test you take and the potential presence of unscored research sections, but plan to set aside at least three hours. If you end up taking the paper-based version of the GRE, you should plan on spending a bit more time in the test center. The paper version has two verbal and two quantitative sections. Similar to the computer version of the test, the paper-based GRE examination may also include an unscored section. Most students take the computer-adaptive version of the test, meaning that for the verbal and quantitative portions, the test adapts the difficulty level of its questions each time you submit an answer. Each student starts out with questions of average difficulty. Each time you enter an answer, the computer scores it immediately, compares it with your preceding responses, and then presents a question suited to your level. If you answer correctly, the questions become more difficult. Incorrect answers result in the next question being slightly less difficult. For students who wish to take GRE test, UAN will provide you extensive support and materials.

SAT

Scholastic Assessment Test

SAT consists of three major sections: Critical Reading, Mathematics, and Writing. Each section receives a score on the scale of 200–800. All scores are multiples of 10. Total scores are calculated by adding up scores of the three sections. Each major section is divided into three parts. There are 10 sub-sections, including an additional 25-minute experimental or “equating” section that may be in any of the three major sections. The experimental section is used to normalize questions for future administrations of the SAT and does not count toward the final score. The test contains 3 hours and 45 minutes of actual timed sections;[20] most administrations (after accounting for orientation, distribution of materials, completion of biographical sections, and fifteen minutes of timed breaks) run for about four and a half hours. The questions range from easy, medium, and hard depending on the scoring from the experimental sections. Easier questions typically appear closer to the beginning of the section while harder questions are toward the end in certain sections. This is not true for every section (the Critical Reading section is in chronological order) but it is the rule of thumb mainly for math, grammar, and the 19 sentence-completions in the reading sections. UAN provides very good opportunity to the students who wants to do SAN and get maximum scholarship in USA or Canadian Universities.

GMAT

Graduate Management Admission Test

GMAT is a test which Intended to assess certain analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English for use in admission to a graduate management program, such as an MBA.[3] It requires knowledge of certain grammar and knowledge of certain algebra, geometry, and arithmetic. The GMAT does not measure business knowledge or skill, nor does it measure intelligence.[4] According to the test owning company, the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the GMAT assesses analytical writing and problem-solving abilities, while also addressing data sufficiency, logic, and critical reasoning skills that it believes to be vital to real-world business and management success.[5] It can be taken up to five times a year. Each attempt must be at least 16 days apart.[6] What it does not do is make any connection between the candidate and their ability in business or capacity to learn and therefore can be seen as an artificial barrier to entry to management education. GMAT is a registered trademark of the Graduate Management Admission Council. More than 5,900 programs offered by more than 2,100 universities and institutions use the GMAT exam as part of the selection criteria for their programs. Business schools use the test as a criterion for admission into a wide range of graduate management programs, including MBA, Master of Accountancy, and Master of Finance programs. The GMAT exam is administered in standardized test centers in 112 countries around the world.[5]According to a survey conducted by Kaplan Test Prep, the GMAT is still the number one choice for MBA aspirants despite the increasing acceptability of GRE scores.[7] According to GMAC, it has continually performed validity studies to statistically verify that the exam predicts success in business school programs.
